Body parts
As in classical art, dolls are not only full-body sculptures, but also body parts such as torsos and lower body parts. The body parts usually have a lesser degree of similarity to human bodies than the whole-body dolls; for example, the skeletal components are often absent in torso and lower bodies. These components are considerably lighter, cheaper and easier to clean than a full body doll.
Heads are also included in the separately available body parts for whole body dolls. Often the heads can be replaced freely within a series of models. However, they are also suitable as luxurious wigs, and guarantee a change if you want to see a new face on your doll.
